Our Bee the Friend program, a unique peer support initiative for elementary schools, is tailored for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. It draws from our B1 program, a key component of our Student Curriculum for grades 7-12. B1 is designed to be concise, informative, and focus on the crucial aspects of youth suicide prevention. It empowers middle and high school students to “Be Aware, Be Able and Be Prepared to React”: to identify signs of concern and devise a plan of action to assist someone in distress. Bee the Friend
We are all in this hive together!

Bee the Friend is a positive, engaging program that fosters friendship and prepares our young children to become compassionate, supportive, and responsible middle and high schoolers. Its aim is to guide children in becoming the best friends they can be through acts of kindness, sharing, observing, showing empathy, and supporting their peers.
Bee the Friend consists of four lessons with accompanying activities. Each lesson aims to educate students about what it takes to be a friend to someone at school, on the bus, on the playground, or in their neighborhood and community.
